07 Three Reminders for Easter Weekend

[00:00:08] Welcome to the creative team talks podcast for Hillsong Creative. [00:00:18] Hey everybody, it's Chad here. I'm just dropping in to say hi just before Easter weekend. Here's one or two things that you can keep in mind as we lead our church and worship this weekend, wherever you are. [00:00:31] Number one, throughout our Easter services, we can often get a lot of new people through the doors, whether they be visiting friends or family, people who have come to observe Easter customs, or just people who are curious. Just remember to keep them in mind as you're leading services, helping people feel welcome, making it easy for them to take part in or understand what it is that we're doing. Number two, good Friday. Good Friday. Although in the Easter narrative can sometimes be very solemn, remember that we don't have to completely forget the outcome of the Easter story on good Friday. We are remembering the sacrifice Jesus made. We're remembering that it was God in flesh that atoned for our sins. And that's a pretty powerful thing. So we don't have to set a dark and depressing mood for our services because we live in the resurrection power of Christ already. We're merely reminding ourselves of the cost of that holy sacrifice. [00:01:25] And number three, resurrection Sunday. I don't need to say too much here, other than try to load your song list full of songs with high praise and gratitude.
