[00:00:09] Welcome to the Creative team talks podcast for Hillsong Creative. [00:00:19] Hey everybody, it's jad here with hup for the mission this week. I just thought I'd send a little clip to encourage you as you lead our church in worship this weekend. [00:00:29] Traditionally on these weekends, whether it's heart for the mission or what was heart for the house or the miracle offering, the people who are participating in this offering are being sacrificial. They're trusting God with their own financial situation by deciding to be generous. [00:00:45] Sacrificial giving requires faith and a trust that God is our provider. So when we lead worship in these services over the next couple of weeks, be encouraged to help people to stir their faith. It can be a daunting thing to give sacrificially. So our job is to help people stir their faith and find courage and trust in God in the midst of their sacrifice. [00:01:06] My tips would be begin with Thanksgiving. Gratitude is a great reset button for our perspective. We humble ourselves by acknowledging what he has given us and what he has done for us. Another thing is use songs that acknowledge God, who God is, and praise him for it, acknowledging him as the creator, the beginning and the end, the protector and the nurturer. [00:01:29] In the Lord's prayer Matthew six, before we talk about daily bread or the forgiveness of sins, it says, the beginning of the prayer is our father who art in heaven. Now to me that's acknowledging who God is, the Father, the nurturer and the protector, but also who is in heaven, which means the almighty, the omnipotent. And then it says, hallowed be your name, which hallowed just means honour is holy. And so what we're doing is we're acknowledging who God is, the father and the creator, and we're praising him for it. And I feel like that's an amazing place to start for us because to me, corporate or church service worship is about agreement. In Matthew 18 it says again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them. [00:02:25] You could read a passage of scripture outlining Jesus as our provider or our peace, or you could sing a song of gratitude. Singing songs in church that cause us to make Bible truth confessions in one accord or agreement is an excellent start to our services for helping people stir their faith and find courage on a weekend when they are contributing sacrificially. Love to you all. Lead church well this weekend.
